Japan rail pass coverage

Hello Mai,

The JR Pass covers the Shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka and you can use it as much as you like during the 7 days of validity. The JR Pass is also good for travel on local JR lines in both Tokyo and Osaka, these are enough to see most of both cities. Do note that other transport such as the Metro or non-JR buses are not included.

Hi there

I have already bought a JR First Class Rail pass (Weekly). Can you kindly confirm if that can used in SkyTrain to get to the Narita Airport from Shinjuku (Tokyo) ? Or what is my best best to make use of it and go to the Narita Aiport from Shinjuku ?

Hi Prem,

Yes you can use the Narita Express (Green Class) from Narita Airport to Shinjuku. This is by far the best way to travel into Tokyo.

1. Is this Narita Express a direct line from Shinjuku to Narita Airport ?

2. Since I have the Green Pass, would it be spacious enough to keep my luggages as I will be travelling with my family (we are group of 3 - me , my wife and my kid)

1.) Yes the Narita Express has a direct service to Shinjuku station.

2.) There's plenty of space on the Narita Express for luggage and it is rather comfortable as well.
