JR Pass or Regional Pass

If your major train journeys can be fit into a 7-day window, I'd suggest purchasing a 7-day JR Pass. If not, it is likely to be more cost-effective to purchase your tickets individually. However, a 14/21 day JR Pass will still cover most of your itinerary and so it is still an option worth looking into if you feel that a pass is better suited for you.
