I'm going Tokyo end of April, would like to have your advise for the following :
1. arrive NRT 1845 on 28/4 and depart NRT on 1930, if I use the 7 days pass,should I start on 28/4 or 29/4?
2. my rough planning is :
-28/4 NRT - NIppori -29/4 Nippori - Hachinohe ( to lake Towada) -30/4 Hachinohe - Aomori - 1/5 Aomori - hirosaki - 2/5 Aomori - Niigata - 3/5 in Niigata - 4/5 in Niigata - 5/5 Niigata to NRT as it is during the golden week, can reserve the seat first? 3. if I buy on-line, the pass will be send to me by Fedex, right? how much is the courior cost to HK?

Well, you will CERTAINLY get your money's worth for that pass.

You are aware though, that it will take you over 5 hours to get from Aomori to Niigata, right?
And for such a busy season, I would strongly advise you to make seat reservations wherever you can, especially leaving the big city at the start of Golden Week, and returning back at the end of it. The Pass will be sent by courier - someone will need to sign for it upon delivery.

Hi there,

Yes the JR Pass will all you to make great savings. Just a return Tokyo - Aomori will more than pay for the pass. I'd also recommend making reservations where possible. Luckily JR East has a reservation website where you may reserve tickets in advance, also for the JR Pass. There are some rules and regulations involved, so be sure to read the website carefully. Delivery to Hong Kong is $140HKD and is only charged once per order, delivery takes two business days. See our shipping page for more information.

You may also find the access page helpfull, for lake Towada. The bus to the lake is even covered by the JR Pass.
