Family itinerary check

Hi there,

I will be travelling to Japan in the summer with my husband and 7 years old daughter. Here’s a rough outline of my itinerary. I’m unsure of which pass to take because the 7day pass is not enough but the 14day pass will not be worth it. My itinerary is quite spaced out because I’m factoring the summer heat and travelling with a young child. I also scheduled Takayama and Kanazawa at the end because I was aiming to ease my daughter into train travelling. I realize this itinerary is quite an undertaking for a family but It will be 10years since our last trip to Japan and we would love to revisit these cities. I’m trying to find a balance 😅

Would you have any recommendations for me in how to optimize my itinerary? And should I consider looking into regional passes? Any suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated.
