Validity of JR Pass

I want to know if the japan rail pass work to go from Narita to Osaka and back from Osaka to Tokyo . Which line should I take ? Because I have understood that Nozomi is not within the japan rail pass . (This is correct?)

15/12: I arrived in Japan . Narita Airport
16-12: I go from Narita to Osaka.
17/12: I return from Osaka to Tokyo.

Hello there,

The JR Pass covers travel between all these places. While the Nozomi train is not included, you can use the Hikari Shinkansen instead. The Hikari travels the same route but makes a couple more stops on the way.

All together, using a 7 day JR Pass will help you make great savings.

I have another question for you

If I want to ride the Shinkansen Hikari Instead my question is this . Do I need to reserve seats ? Or only with the japan rail pass I can get on the train?

Hi there,

You can make seat reservation but it is not required. You can also just board the train with the JR Pass and use a non reserved seat.
