JR pass

Hi there,

All Shinkansen lines are covered by the JR Pass. There are different train types on the Shinkansen though, and Nozomi/Mizuho services are not covered. All other Shinkansen services are, such as the Hikari and Sakura.

The difference is that the Nozomi/Mizuho services make less stops on the way.

Other transport covered: all JR lines in Japan (see our map HERE) local JR buses and the ferry to Miyajima island.

Transport run by companies other than JR is not included, such as the metro.
