7 day or 14 ?

Hey guys,

IM curious to which JR pass i should get either the 7 days ? or the 14 days , ill be there for 16 days, however i land in tokyo and i want to head straight up to osaka once i land and the plan is to travell throughout the west for atleast a week or less and ill be staying in tokyo for the remaining time which is likely to be 10 days, so do you think its much worth it to get a 14 day pass ? or the 7 days will do ?

please help me.
