11 days in Japan - 7 or 14 day pass?

Hi there

We're travelling to Japan in early June. Spending 11 days... would a 7 or 14 day pass will be more economical?

Day 1 (evening) - travel Narita Airport to Tokyo
Day 2-3 - travel around Tokyo region
Day 4 - Tokyo to Hiroshima
Day 5 - Hiroshima - Miyajima - Hiroshima
Day 6 - Hiroshima - Osaka
Day 7-8 - travel around Osaka
Day 9 - Osaka - Kyoto
Day 10 - travel around Kyoto
Day 11 - Kyoto - Tokyo - Narita airport.

Our dilema is whether to activate the pass on day 4-10 (inclusive) or 5-11 with individual tickets (outside of the JR pass). Either way, would need to buy one long-haul ticket (day 4 tokyo to hiroshima, or day 11 kyoto to tokyo), as well as travel from narita airport to tokyo and travel around tokyo (days 1-3).

Any advice would be appreciated!
