Hi I will be visiting japan in March. I wanted to know the best options for travelling. Is it worth buying a JR pass or local transport system passes?
We are 2 adults 1 child (5 years old)
Day 1 fly in to Osaka Kansai 6am (hotel In Namba)
Day 2 & 3 Osaka Castle and general shopping eating areas
Day 4 travel to Kyoto (hotel in Gion )
Day 5 -7 in Kyoto & trip to Nara
Day 8 travel to Tokyo (hotel in Shinjuku)
Day 9 &10 general in Tokyo City
Day 11 travel to Tokyo Narita Airport

Hi there,
I would buy normal tickets for your trip. The Japan Rail Pass would make sense when making a return Tokyo - Osaka, but you only travel one way. As such, the JR Pass would not help you make savings.
