Kansas airport to Tokyo

Hello there,

Arrival at 9 pm. will mean that you'll have to spend the first night around Kansai Airport or Osaka, as there are no train services at that hour going to Tokyo. The following morning you can use the JR Pass to travel from Kansai Airport - Shin-Osaka station and take the Shinkansen from there to Tokyo station.

Thanks Daniel. we would have been crazy going around without your answer. Now we just have to look for a room near the station/airport. May I ask what would be the earliest train going to tokyo ?

I got 1 more question please. Is the Ltd Express Sunrise Seto from Osaka to Tokyo covered by the JR pass ?

Trains start service around 6 am in the morning. It depends on the station where you are traveling from what time exactly bus this will be between 6-7 am.

The Sunrise express is covered by the JR Pass. However seats are often sold/reserved days in advance and you can only do so in Japan. I would replay on it being available on day of arrival.
