I will be in Tokyo and travel from Narita airport to Tokyo university on 18 April. Then I will be there till 22 April. I would like to see Hiroshima and Kyoto on 23 and 24 April. I may travel to local tourist places in Tokyo during evenings from 19 to 22 April. Please tell me whether the JR pass is worth. Or should I try tickets of rail directly??

Using the JR Pass here is definitely worth it, to be sure of your plans where will you go after Hiroshima/Kyoto?

I have changed my plan. Now I will go to Kyoto from Tokyo and will be back to Narita airport. What is your advice about JR pass.

A 7 day JR Pass is about the same price as a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto, so adding any additional travel will make it well worth it. For instance adding Hiroshima alone could save you 20,000yen.
