Which shinkansen trains are allowed with the pass? I am particularly interested in Hikari (TOKYO-KYOTO route). Thanks!

Hi there,
The JR Pass covers all Shinkansen lines, a limited amount of train services are not included. These are the Nozomi and Mizuho trains, you can use the Hikari trains for free with the JR Pass.
