Good day. Are the thunderbird trains serviceable today (Jan 22, 2024)? We are planning to go to Kanazawa from Osaka but we were informed that there are casualties from recent earthquake. Thank you

Hi there,
The Thunderbird service between Osaka and Kanazawa operates as normal and is no longer impacted by any earthquake damage.
However, today (22nd of Jan) there is heavy snow which may impact the service and result in delays or cancellations. For last minute updates, please check with JR West or at the station.
