Hi, we’re planning to visit Japan in a few months. My boyfriend is an American citizen and doesn’t require a visa to enter Japan. I would just like to ask what requirement or proof does he need to show to get the JR Pass. Thank you.

He would receive a visa stamp on arrival, you'll have to show this.
