Hi. I'm wondeing if I buy a 1 week pass w / green card and do not use them, can I return them in Japan or back in the States for a refund?

Hi there,
Yes - you refund an unactivated Japan Rail Pass (aka. Exchange Order) up to 1 year from the date of purchase. There are 2 options for refund:
1) On presentation of your exchange order In Japan at a JR ticket counter.
2) On return of your exchange order to the agent where you purchased it overseas.
If you purchase your rail pass from jrpass.com, you will need to return it to our offices. Please contact [email protected] for more information on this option.
Please note that refunds are subject to a handling charge. Full terms and conditions are available online.
