Hi we are landing in Narita on 20feb. Spending 5 nights in Tokyo. Leave for hakuba 25th. Leave hakuba for nozawaonsen 29/2. Leave nozawa for travel to Kyoto on 7th march, , explore sights with Kyoto as base. Leave Kyoto for Narita on 13/3. Are we better off getting 2x passes for that amount of time? Regards Paul

Hi Paul,
Looking at your itinerary, I'm afraid that there is too much time between your train trips for a JR Pass to be cost effective. I think just getting the trips out-of-pocket would be a better idea.
You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
