Hello! We will be visiting Japan on Feb 2-13 and I would really appreciate your suggestions on our itinerary.
Day 1-3 TOKYO
Day 4-5 Mt Fuji
Day 6-7 Kyoto
Day 8-9 Osaka
Day 10-12 tokyo?
and should we buy JR passes for our trip?

Hello there,
The 7 day JR Pass would work very well here if you use it from day 4 - 10, this way all your pricey rail travel is covered and you'll only need additional tickets for Tokyo. The pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen, now you ge 7 days of unlimited travel or the same price.
As for Fuji, there are different ways to visit Fuji. I would recommend reading this website from Wiki Voyage to get oriented.
