stay overnight Tokyo, next day to Hokaido for 4 days, visit furano, otaru, Noboribetsu, back to Tokyo wanted to go to Yokohama, we still have around 4 days in Tokyo, can you give suggestion where to go near Tokyo if we purchase the Shinkanzen, can i use the Shinkanzen tickets to all the places i mentioned? is it economical to buy the Shinkanzen tickets to these places or buy individually? Please adivice how to travel to these places the right way, we are all seniors.

Hi there,
A would recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for your trip. You can make very good savings compared to purchasing normal Shinkansen tickets to Hokkaido and the JR Pass can be used on the super fast Hayabusa Shinkansen to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station. From there normal trains run throughout Hokkaido.
You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
