A listing of where you can exchange the vouchers and their hours is here. One of the first things you should do when arriving at Hiroshima Stn is go to their tourist info office. There are many useful free maps and other help.

Aside from Tokyo and the Kansai area, Hiroshima is one popular tourist area that has a lot to see. Nearly everyone rushes over to the Peace Park/Museum, which is extremely sobering. But there is a lot of other places to see as well, including the castle, Shukkeien Garden, Mazda Museum, and little known Mitakidera Temple. Try some okonomiyaki there as well, especially at the downtown shopping arcade there is Okonomiyaki-mura.

The best of the area though would be Miyajima. Aside from the Itsukushima Shrine with the giant "floating" torii, the Daishoin Temple is also a must-see place. There are several other pagodas and temples, and climbing Mt. Misen offers a fantastic view over the island and whole area. Just a stone's throw beyond Miyajima is Iwakuni with its iconic historical bridge and mountaintop castle. Onomichi is famous for its temple tour and wildly ornate Kosanji Temple. All are excellent additions if you have the time.
