For the Peace Park you can follow these directions on the official website which give you a good idea of how to get there from the station.

For the Floating temple, or Miyajima, you should get the JR train to Miyajimaguchi, and then use the JR ferry (valid for JR Pass holders) to get to Miyajima island and the temples. Here's a sample itinerary for you.
