JR Pass on HAMANASU

Hi there!

Yes it is valid for this train, however getting a reservation may proof difficult. This because the train is very popular and could this be hard to book. I would recommend trying to do so the moment that you are in Japan and have activated your JR Pass.

Say I will be able to change my pass on April 5th. What are the odds of me getting a reservation on the 9th? Is there another way to make reservation in advance? thanks.

It's hard to say but I'd think around 50% it's a weekday and that's always a little easier. It will also be easier if you travel alone. You can make the reservation once you land in Japan.
