Hello,
I'd like to visit Kawaguchiko from Tokyo in December, and would like to find out if the Holiday Rapid Express train from Shinjuku still runs during that period?
I'd also like to find out where I can go to reserve seats on the JR shinkansen trains. Thanks!

I was unable to find the Holiday Rapid Express on the train timetables in December and thus assume that it does not run then.
Shinkansen seats can be reserved at any JR station in Japan. Just tell the staff when and where you want to travel and they will reserve the seat for you. Do you need to have exchanged the JR Pass first if you plan on using one. Also see:
