Fukuoka to Hiroshima

Hello there,

First travel to Hakata station (Fukuoka) using the subway, bus or taxi. From Hakata station you can use the Shinkansen directly to Hiroshima station.

Hi there,

Yes the Shinkansen is the Japanese for the bullet trains. Technically it is referred it means new main line (referring to the route traveled and the old train route it replaces) however everybody also refers to the trains as Shinkansen.

For travel around Fukuoka, purchase normal tickets as you travel. I've found that travel around Fukuoka is best done using the bus, metro en private railways in the area and there's no one pass to rule them all.
