I was looking at your itinerary (it looks great) and was wondering what passes would benefit you best.

When you arrive at Kansai Airport, consider buying a ICOCA + N'EX package. This will give you a nicely discounted ticket on the Haruka Express directly to Kyoto in addition to the ICOCA card which you can use to pay for local travel, to Osaka and Nara for instance.

For Kanazawa, there's not really a discount package or ticket which would benefit you here, so I would recommand buying normal tickets for Kyoto - Kanazawa and Kanazawa - Osaka.

You can then use the ICOCA card to travel back to the airport.

Is the N'EX card you mentioned the same as Haruka card?
Can we use a round trip Haruka card (Y4000) to cover our trip from Tennoji Station to Kansai Airport as well (by JR Haruka) ?

Hi Again!

Yes the Haruka and Icoca package and [Suica + N'EX] package similair. The first is for travelers arriving at Narita Airport and the 2nd for travelers arriving at Kansai Airport.

You can use it as a round trip from Tennoji.
