Just got confused for the train

Hi May,

The JR Pass covers most of the trip to Yudanaka, however the last part from Nagano to Yudanaka is not included. This is because the Nagano Electric Railway is a private railway company. The Shinkansen Hakutaka is covers by the JR Pass.

Hi there,

I think the best option here, would simply be to use normal tickets as you travel. This because the price of normal tickets is below the price of a JR Pass and the JR East Pass does not cover travel to Takayama and the Nozomi Shinkansen from Nagoya.
