Any itinerary suggestions, and also which train ticket option to purchase, etc. are appreciated.

Here is our current itinerary:

• July 3: Arrive at Narita Airport • July 3-9: Explore Tokyo • July 9-15: Travel to Osaka • July 10: Explore Osaka • July 11: Explore Osaka • July 12: Day trip from Osaka to Kyoto
• July 13: Day trip from Osaka to Nara • July 14: Day trip from Osaka to Himeji or Kobe or Nagoya • July 15: Travel from Osaka to Tokyo • July 16: Leave from Narita Airport
