14 days rail pass worth it?

Hello, Below our planned itinerary for this November.
I'd like to kindly ask your opinion to check if worth getting a 14 days JRP? Also in the instance we get from Kanazawa to Takayama via bus and via Shirakawa go rather than using the trains?

Also if we activate the pass on the 16th of November, will we be able to still travel using it on the 29th November, right? That should be our last day it is active? I am not sure whether I should count things as calendar days or exact hours from activation?

If we buy the pass now (before 30th September) we will be able to activate it in November and avoid the increase in price right? How long does it take for the delivery (we live in London)?
