We are 1st time travellers to Japan. We will be arriving in Osaka on Sept 15. Our itinerary includes kyoto. Is it possible to go Tokyo given an 8 day vacation.? Any suggestions. Thanks

Hi Janix,
Have a look at these two sample itineraries:
1.) 7 day travel itinerary, it also includes Kyoto and Tokyo and 2.) A Family trip with the JR Pass.
I can also give you some more specific recommendations if you let me know what you are interested in. It is pretty easy to include Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo in 8 days.

If you like outlet stores. Head to Rinku Town near Osaka. It is a great place for shopping at a discount!
