Me and my husband are visiting Japan for the first time.
Our itinerary are Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, then back to Tokyo to fly home. We want to buy 7 day JR pass on this trip.
Can we do day trip to Hiroshima while we are Osaka using JR pass ( shinkansen)?

Hi there,

Yes, absolutely. I've recommended a day trip to Hiroshima. As it both get you the best out of your trip to Japan and JR Pass. Just leave relatively early, so you have most of the day to explore, there are direct trains from Shin-Osaka station.

I'd definitely visit Miyajima, The A-Dome park & museum and Okonomiya Mura.

Do I need to exchange my JR voucher once we arrive in Japan?
We are planning to start using it on our 4th day once we travel to Kyoto.
We will use IC card first for our first 3 days around Tokyo.

Also, can I order IC card online together with JR pass?
