Hello and good day!
May i know which jr pass i must purchase should my daughter stay in Tokyo for a month. She may be going to Meiji University in mid July. She will be hoestaying with a Japanese family who live 60-90 minutes away from Meiji U. Which pass should she have? Also, does tgat cover her train trip from either Haneda or Narita Airport?
Lastly, should i decide to bring her and stay in Tokyo for a week, which pass should i get?

Hello Malu,
The Japan Rail Pass is mostly for tourist visiting Japan and planning to travel around for sightseeing.
Given that your daughter will stay in Tokyo and travel the same route for a longer period of time, my advise would be to buy a month ticket for the route that she'll be traveling each day. The way is to simply buy this at the station where she'll be staying.
The JR Pass does cover the trip from the airport to Tokyo.
