Hi. We will be in Tokyo on Dec 21 and plan to take the
Shinkansen Kagayaki 7.20am on 24th Dec 2016 to Kanazawa from Tokyo Station.
Do you think we will be able to reserve the seats once we arrived at Narita airport in the morning?
And the train Thunderbird from Kanazawa to Osaka on the Dec 27th?

By the way if we have contact in Japan can they book the seats for us?

Hi there,

Yes, I expect you to be able to reserve both trains without issue if you do so a day or two in advance.

We are unable to help with booking seats, as this has to be done in person and can be done at any JR station in Japan.

I thought it's close to the year end holidays and locals will be scrabbling to
reserve their seats. Anyway thank you for your information.
