Can I make reservations before I get my JRPass? Also, since I can't use Nozomi with my pass, is there a way to exclude it when trying to find other Shinkasen routes for trip planning?

Hi There,
Sorry, you can only make a reservation once you get your JR Pass.
You can plan using www.Hyperdia.com, if you select Search Details below the destination search, you will see a couple of boxes showing up, select the Shinkansen option and de-select the Nozomi/Mizuho/Hayabusa option and you can plan your trip without problems!
