Kansai Hiroshima Pass

Kyoto to Osaka is part of the Tokaido Shinkansen, so you can't take it. But you can take an express train. The difference is only about 10 minutes anyway. But you can take the fastest bullet train, the Nozomi, down to Hiroshima.

How much will a one way ticket cost usually? And how long will it take?

Does the Kansai Hiroshima pass cover either Osaka or Kyoto station?

All your questions are answered in the links that I gave you above. The route map is in the regional guide page and fares/schedules are easily looked up on Hyperdia. A one way ticket at normal fare is ¥9,710 for an unreserved seat and takes about 85 minutes.

The details for this ride will be 50 minutes, 2330 yen unreserved, about 3000 yen reserved.

But using the kansai-hiroshima pass will only allow me the unreserved seats for this haruka train ride from shin osaka to kansai airport right?

Yes, the Haruka is covered, but for any train, it is unreserved seating only unless you want to pay extra.
