Hi, can I check if the kansai hiroshima pass covers the journey from shin-osaka to kyoto? Which trains are covered and how long will the journey cost? I am confused by the different trains and the speed and costs involved. Appreciate information on the fastest train covered by this pass between Shin-osaka and kyoto, the journey time and the price a one-way journey will usually cost.

Same goes for shin-osaka to hiroshima. What is the fastest train covered by this pass between Shin-osaka and hiroshima? How long will it take? What is the price a one-way journey will usually cost?

As well as kyoto to hiroshima. What is the fastest train covered by this pass between kyoto and hiroshima? How long will it take? What is the price a one-way journey will usually cost?

I am trying to determine if the kansai-hiroshima area pass is good for value and if it will actually be worth it. Especially if I stay in either kyoto or shin-osaka and do day trips from there.

Will i be able to use the pass to travel from Kansai Airport (KIX) to shin-osaka as well?

Hi,

Kyoto to Osaka is part of the Tokaido Shinkansen, so you can't take it. But you can take an express train. The difference is only about 10 minutes anyway. But you can take the fastest bullet train, the Nozomi, down to Hiroshima.

So just to clarify, the pass will allow me to take the Nozomi down from Shin Osaka to Hiroshima?

How much will a one way ticket cost usually? And how long will it take?

Does the Kansai Hiroshima pass cover either Osaka or Kyoto station?

Hi,
All your questions are answered in the links that I gave you above. The route map is in the regional guide page and fares/schedules are easily looked up on Hyperdia. A one way ticket at normal fare is ¥9,710 for an unreserved seat and takes about 85 minutes.

Can I also check to confirm that the pass will cover the train Haruka JR train ride from shin osaka to KIX as well?

The details for this ride will be 50 minutes, 2330 yen unreserved, about 3000 yen reserved.

But using the kansai-hiroshima pass will only allow me the unreserved seats for this haruka train ride from shin osaka to kansai airport right?

Hi,
Yes, the Haruka is covered, but for any train, it is unreserved seating only unless you want to pay extra.
