Hi ... I'm nadia . I'm planning to go to Japan this April. My first port in Tokyo for 2 nights then plan to go to mount fuji for 1 night. Following there I'm plan to go and stay in Kyoto for 3nights. In between that , I'm plan to go to Osaka for day trip. Then I'm planing to return bac to Tokyo and stayed there for 2 nights. So total nights spents in japan will be 8 days.My question is is that worth for me to buy the rail pass rather than normal ticket? Local train for me for me in Kyoto or Osaka -> are they covered with rail pass?
Jr rail pass or normal ticket?

Hi Nadia,
I think a JR-Pass could be worth it.
Here are some savings you could make with the JR-Pass.
Narita Airport --> Tokyo ¥ 2,940
Tokyo Yokohama (return) ¥ 900
Tokyo --> Odawara (for Hakone) ¥ 3,640
Odawara --> Kyoto ¥ 11,750
Kyoto Nara (return) ¥ 1,380
Kyoto Osaka (return) ¥ 1,080
Kyoto --> Tokyo ¥ 13,220
For a total of ¥ 34,910, the 7 Day JR-Pass is 28,300 so you could save at least ¥ 6610. Local JR-Trains from Kyoto to Osaka and in Osaka are also covered by the JR-Pass.
For mount Fuji / Hakone, the JR-Pass does not cover the full way but you can take the Shinkansen to Odawara and access Hakone from there. A Hakone Free Pass may be of use if you plan on traveling in the Area.
Have a wonderful time in Japan!

Thanks .... It's really help me
