Hi,
we are planning to visit Japan for nine days and we are not sure whether we should buy the JR rail pass or not. Our places that we want to visit are
- Tokio- Kioto
- Kioto-Osaka
- Osaka-Koyasan
- Koyasan-Tokio
I imagine that you can also use the JR pass to visit places in every city , such us Yamanote Line in Tokio, etc. We were thinking of buying the 7 day pass but I'm not sure if it's better than traveling without JR

Hi there,
I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass if you can cover the return Tokyo - Kyoto ... Tokyo. This way you can make good savings compared to purchasing normal tickets and the JR Pass will cover most of your travels.
The JR Pass is also valid on the local JR Network in Tokyo, Osaka and to a limited extend in Kyoto. Adding even more!
