bullet train travel

Hi, I would like to travel from Kyoto to Wakkanai on the bullet train on May 25,2014 and return to Kyoto on May 27. Is this possible and if so 1. how many trains do I need to take
2. how long will trip take 3, what will it cost? Thank you

Hi there!

That sounds like one crazy trip! Unfortunate it is not possible to travel this distance in a single day as it takes 1251 minutes (a good 21 hours) of non stop travel and ¥ 36,240. I would recommend looking into flights if you are seriously considering this.
