Hello,

We are 4 persons who will arrive in Tokyo on April 14. I have the next questions:

We will land at 19.40 in Narita airport, and have the first night accomodation in Kyoto
1. Is there a shinkansen train at that late hour to go to Kyoto or we have to wait for the next day?
Our itinerary will be
* Tokyo airport * Kyoto (6 days ) and here we want to visit Kyoto city, go to Osaka one day and Nara on another day * Tokyo ( 4 days) visiting the city

  1. Is the 7 day JR pass worth it to purchase or is better to buy individual tickets?

  2. Can we take WiFi pocket even if we don't take JR pass?

Hi there,

The last service from Tokyo departs at 21:24, so I think you should be fine. Please make sure that you have activated your JR Pass and reserved a seat within the time between arrival into Narita and departure to Kyoto.

I would recommend purchasing your tickets individually. The only other option would be a Hokuriku Arch Pass but since you arrive so late you won't be able to make it to Kyoto the night you land via the Hokuriku Arch.
