Hello - we are travelling from Osaka to Hiroshima, staying in Miyajima for a night then returning to Osaka for 4 days. From there we will travel to Kobe and Himeji.
I was thinking of getting the 5 day Hiroshima-Kansai regional pass but this does not allow travel in the Green car on the Shinkansen between Osaka and Hiroshima. Is it possible to upgrade the regional pass for the Shinkansen? If so how much would that cost?

Hi there,
There's no upgrade path with a regional pass to the Green Car. If you really want to travel in the Green Car then you could consider the Green JR Pass or buying normal tickets.
Having said that, by far the most economic way would be to just use the regional pass and enjoy the normal class. The Sakura Shinkansen between Hiroshima an Osaka has very limited Green Car space and it is often less busy in the normal car.
