5 Day JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass

Hi,

I am planning a trip that looks like this:

1 Haneda Airport to Tokyo
2 Tokyo - Mt Fuji Trip
3 Tokyo sightseeing, travel from Tokyo to Osaka, stay in Osaka
4 Osaka to Kyoto Day trip
5 Osaka
6 Osaka to Nara Day trip
7 Osaka to Hiroshima and Miyajima Day Trip
8 Osaka to Haneda Airport

For the above inter-city travel, what all routes would not be covered by the 5 Day JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass (which I am planning to use from Day 4 onwards)? Would you suggest I look into buying another regional pass or buy the tickets for Day 3 and Day 8 separately? Thank you for answering! :)

Hi there,

The Osaka-Hiroshima trip will likely be enough to make the Kansai-Hiroshima Pass cost-effective - the only route it won't cover from day 4 onwards would be Osaka to Haneda. However my suggestion would be a 7-day JR Pass activated from day 2 onwards: it'll cover all of your remaining train journeys, and will likely be a more cost-effective option as the trip from Haneda to Tokyo can be purchased separately as it'll be significantly cheaper than the rest of your itinerary trips.

Thank you! If I get a flight from Kansai Airport, I should be able to cover that trip with the JR pass as well?
