I have been checking the route from Takayama to Tokyo and it seems we have to take the LTD express to Nagoya and from there the Shinkansen Nozomi 128 to Tokyo. I have read however that The Japan Rail Pass is not valid for Nozomi line... Is it not valid for the shinkansen we have to take from Nagoya to Tokyo? What trains could we take from Takayama to Tokyo which are covered by the JPRpass?
We are also thinking about doing Takayama-Hakone-Tokyo. Is this covered by the JPRpass?

Hi there,
You can use the Hikari Shinkansen and Kodama Shinkansen between Nagoya and Tokyo station using the JR Pass.
The trip Takayama-Hakone-Tokyo is covered but you may still need travel locally within Hakone that is not included.
