My friend and I will be going to Tokyo on 7th until 14th January 2019. We are planning to go Jigokudani Snow Monkey, but not sure whether we should depart from Tokyo or stay overnight at Nagano? Need JR Pass? And we would like to join Mt. Fuji day trip and Gotemba Outlet. Is there any website recommended for joining day trip? Please advise. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Yvonne Ong,
Depending on your other travel, a JR Pass could certainly be useful here. You can do Jigokudani as a day trip from Tokyo but it does involve a lot of travel. My recommendation is to combine it with an Onsen visit and Shibu-Onsen, close to the monkey park and stay there for one night.
