When inputting your itinerary into our fare calculator, the price of purchasing tickets individually comes out to be slightly less than a 14 day JR Pass, if you were to use it excluding the time that you are in Tokyo. Therefore if you do prefer to utilise a rail pass, that would be my recommendation.

For Aomori to Akita the Shinkansen will be the faster option and so if you end up using the JR Pass then it’d definitely be the better option.

What about combin the JR East Tohoku area pass or JR East Nagano Niigata area pass ? Is this option will be cheaper?
About the train from Aomori to Akita I heard about the scenic line that's why I asked about the Gono line .so if you advice to take the shinkansen you mean to take the resort shinkansen ? Is it included at the pass ?
