We have a (hopefully!) amazing trip to Japan planned using the JR Pass. There is one issue we've found where we don't think the JR Pass covers part of the journey.
Could anyone advise on the best way to get from Kanazawa to Kawaguchiko using (ideally) at least some of it on JR Pass and the costs involved?

Hi there,
The JR Pass will cover over 90% of this trip, so don't worry too much about the part that is not covered.
Traveling from Kanazawa to Kawaguchiko basically means travelling to Otsuki station and from there use the Fujikyu line (1,140yen additional fare).
