I'm Krish. I am traveling to Japan in late May till Mid- June. My itinerary is as follows:
Day 1-4: Tokyo (For personal reasons)
Day 5-6: Hokkaido
Day 7-8: Toyama
Day 9-10: Kamikochi
Day 11-13: Nagano
Day 14-Day 21: Tokyo (For Personal reasons).
At the moment, my plan is to purchase a JR 7 day pass that will be activated on day 5 till day 11. (I understand that the inbound train back to Tokyo from Nagano will not be included).
As per the fare calculator, this pass makes the trip above more affordable. I am unsure though if i need to buy the JR Hokkaido pass in addition to the JR 7 day pass.
Additionally, please confirm if it is compulsory to buy and get the exchange order delivered to my country prior to travelling or i can simply make the payment online before travelling and then get it once I'm there. The delivery fee is an additional fee that i want to avoid if it is possible.
