I will be exploring the following places in 6Days. Shd i get a JR pass? A no. of places listed doesn't connect through JR lines.
Tokyo
- Asakusa
- Tokyo Tower
- Harajuku
- Shibuya
- Shinjuku
Kyoto
- Arashiyama
Osaka
- Osaka Castle
- Namba
- Umeda

It depends - will you be returning to Tokyo to fly home? If so than the JR Pass would be great to help you make savings. Both Arashiyama, Osaka Castle, Namba and Umeda (Osaka station) can be reached by JR.
If you fly out of Osaka, I think that it would be better to buy normal tickets.
