Travelling Pass Enquiring

I'm seeking your advice about a trip between Tokyo and Japan.

We're arriving in Tokyo on 24/02 and staying a night. The next day we will go to Mt. Fuji and overnight for 1 night. After that, we go back to Tokyo, visiting around Tokyo till 27/02. We're heading to Osaka and stay there until 02/03. We will take a flight back home from Osaka directly. I hope we have enough time to pay a visit to Bamboo Glove, Kyoto as I find out that 30 minus ride from Osaka by train.

JR Pass - the minimum is 7 days pass. I don't think we need it for 7 days. The itinerary is if we depart from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji by direct bus (round trip), from Tokyo to Osaka, or maybe from Osaka to Kyoto, so overall it would be 2 days.

Would you please advise us what is the best pass suits us - more convenience and save costs.

May I know if during the Winter, The Bamboo Glove isn't opening, and does it is worth making a trip there?

Much Appreciate!

Hi there,

As you partially concluded already, a JR Pass would not help you make savings here. As such, buying normal tickets is the way to go.

I don't have information about the Bamboo grove specifically, though if you plan to visit the greater Arashiyama area, then yes, it is still worth doing.

Kind regards,
Daniel
