Hi There JR Pass :)
I am excited to come to Japan in November 2023. Recently I heard there will be a huge price increase for JR pass coming in October 2023. Thus, i was wondering if I can purchase the JR pass prior to October 2023 at the current price of $482 for 21 days and be able to activate it to use for the entirety of November 2023 without being affected by the price change? Or will the price change pause all travelers using the JR pass after October 2023 to pay the price increase difference? Just wondering if you can clarify this. Thank you so much :)

Hello Vinh Le,
We are still awaiting the full details to be announced, likely vouchers will be honoured up to 3 months after issue date. As long as your travel days are within 3 months after the price hike and you order your pass before that date, then you can use the JR Pass at the current price.
We will update our blog as soon as we have further details.
