In general if you do a return from Tokyo to Osaka with a Japan rail pass you basically break even with a 7 day pass. In your case you also have your legs to narita and the possibility to do other trips while you are in both Tokyo and Kansas area so I can recommend you get a 7 day pass. The amount of money you save will depend on how much you use JR outside of your listed legs, as all further travel will be free.
