Is it possible to use a Nozomi by paying and extra fee if you have a JR pass . There is only one Shinkansen after 18.30 from Tokyo to Kyoto on Nov. 1st and its a bit tight timewise both for processing through at the airport and check in time at the Kyoto hotel

Hi there,
It is not possible to upgrade to the Nozomi, you'll have to purchase a normal ticket if you wish to travel on the Nozomi.
